Since in the UK we also can use channels 12 and 13, what would be the effect of using a router and three WAPs with the same SSID on channels 1, 5, 9 and 13?

In Europe, channels 1, 5, 9 and 13 is an excellent channel plan. In an enterprise environment where you can control the spectrum, it works great.

The problem is that from what we've seen, most SOHO AP's and home routers ship with a default channel of 1 or 6, even in the UK, which really messes up the 1-5-9-13 channel plan when you have a lot of neighbors nearby.

Can you explain the reasoning behind making the channel selection for the 5GHz radio band? For example I have my 5GHz radio on channel 43 using HT80 and there is another AP located on 44+48.

For my AP, it is recommending that I move it to 36, which would still interfere with the AP on 44. There are no other AP's in the vicinity so why doesn't it recommend that I choose channel 132 or above?

    Hi Bill,

Sounds like a bug! We've been working on our recommendations and hope to improve them in a future version.
